Summary: Prepares materials for shipment by assisting Carpenters and Loaders, fabricate wooden crates or boxes to pack such items as machinery or other large off shaped products.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates forklift to pick and place pallets or unload trucks
  • Pads equipment for loading crew
  • Builds and assembles shop pallets using a jig and screw gun
  • Organizes/stacks wood dumpster
  • Assists with wrapping tanks with shrink wrap
  • Organizes recycling and garbage bins
  • Follow all Safety and Company policies and procedures including PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

Skills:

  • Reads tape measure to 1/16th inch
  • Safely operate a radial arm saw and table saw
  • Maintains safe and clean work area
  • Ability to use intermediate power and air tools
  • Ability to learn to drive a forklift safely
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills

Education/Experience:

  • A year of related experience preferred
