JOB PURPOSE: Supports the systems engineering department by providing pre-sale and after sale engineering and project management services to the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

  1. Serves as primary after sale point of contact for the customer. Meets customer expectations with clear and concise two-way communication with the internal and external customers. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  2. Support the sales effort by assisting with layout design and develop drawings during quoting process.
  3. Manages approval packages and turnovers by collecting information from the customer, order acknowledgements, compiling the information in the approval package, meet with internal representatives (including the turnover), distribute and update approval package with customer, and releasing the approved documents.
  4. Performs project management functions after approval package has been released.  Includes meeting with engineers about design, follow-ups, change orders (if needed), relaying dates (shipments, test products, etc.), documenting test product when it arrives, pre-FAT’s, FAT announcements, and FAT activities.
  5. Manages key vendor/partner relationships and orders to reduce financial risk and maximize the financial performance on any given project.
  6. Travels as required may include up to 25% travel to support sales and service efforts
  7. Continuously improves operating efficiencies by participating in cross-functional teams, eliminating non-value-added activities and documenting processes and procedures.
  8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:                                            

  • *Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • 2 years of professional experience
  • 7 years professional experience (for Senior Level position)
  • Experience with analyzing job results and planning workflow
  • Experience with maintaining production schedules, on multiple and simultaneous projects

*2 years of experience in the field may be a substitute for an Engineering degree.
